Our Mission

Keeping memory alive

Muslims were a significant part of Britain’s Armed Forces during both World Wars
and played a pivotal role in shaping our country’s history. Sadly, their heroic
contribution has not been given the public recognition it deserves.

That matters because the way we see our country’s past enormously impacts on
how we understand it today, which then affects the future we build together as
citizens of the country we all belong to.

That is why our mission is to erect and maintain a public national war memorial to
commemorate the service of Muslims in Britain’s Armed Forces during the two World
Wars and subsequent conflicts.

That is why our charity will also help to educate the public about the contribution of
Muslims to Britain’s Armed Forces through their role, service, and sacrifice during
both World Wars and subsequent conflicts.

The story of their heroic service will help to build a better Britain for everyone.
