His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

The National Muslim War Memorial Trust offers its sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen for the passing of her husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. 

He served alongside Muslim servicemen under both the Eastern and Pacific Fleets in 1940 as a midshipman on HMS Ramillies and in 1944 as second-in-command of HMS Whelp with distinction.  His dedication to service, leadership and courage was an inspiration to them.  

He will be deeply missed by all veterans around the world.
